Opportunity to work for a Top 50 Legal Practice in the heart of London.Working as the lead security specialist within the business you will be able to develop the team and install a number of fresh processes to the business.Client DetailsMy client is a Top 50 legal practice operating predominantly within the commercial space as well as media, property, construction and employment. Despite recent events this client is still growing and they are still looking to invest in the practice with the overall aim of creating an economically stable business targeting profitable and sustainable growth.The practice is an international business with several offices in the UK as well as in Asia.Whilst growing quickly this client has managed to maintain their fantastic culture, which is centred on accessibility, openness and excellent client service.DescriptionSenior Security Analyst - Prestigious Law FirmIn this role you will manage, provide technical support, implement, maintain and troubleshoot all security products used by the firm. You will need a significant level of hands-on experience with security technologies and solutions. You will perform daily investigations of security incidents, security assessments and audits. The role holder will also work with relevant teams around the firm to ensure that appropriate operational security controls are understood and implemented.Purpose:

  • Overall responsibility for technical IT needs across the business
  • Manage intrusion detection/protection systems, firewalls, web filtering solutions, web application firewalls, host intrusion protection, antivirus, anti malware and zero day threat protection services
  • Candidates will need to have a full and complete understanding of security technologies used to protect the services delivered to the firm
  • Undertake all technical aspects of the role, including providing designs and product recommendations when required
  • Be a key resource for audits and ensure compliance is maintained to a high level
  • Proactive member of the wider global IT team providing services to all offices within an international firm
  • Responsibilities:
  • Manage the firms security incident and event management system
  • Conduct vulnerability scans, using PKI, IDS/IPS detection and prevention methods
  • Manage privilege account management systems
  • Manage security and investigate all security events to resolution
  • Conduct technical security audits and perform risk assessment
  • Conduct firewall, network and systems configuration audits and networking security penetration testing
  • Manage the IT department security patching process
  • Conduct malware analysis and research for new exploits and to counter-act
  • Work with stakeholders to define system requirements for the security of new technology implementations
  • ProfileSenior Security Analyst - Prestigious Law FirmDesired skills and experience:
  • University degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or significant work experience
  • Previous experience working in an IT security position with another partnership, preferably
  • Certifications including CEH or GIAC, GSEC, CCNA, CCNP, Cisco Security or other
  • Security accreditation experience such as ISO 27001, DPA, Cyber Essentials+
  • Proven experience in security planning and development for a large IT department
  • Designing security solutions with hands on experience of their implementation
  • Extensive knowledge of Cisco networking, check point firewalls and Windows server security
  • Attributes:
  • Displays and adaptable and flexible working style, remaining calm under pressure, adjusting comfortably to changing conditions and priorities
  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills and able to present key points of an argument persuasively
  • Ability to develop and present ideas and reasoned arguments clearly and concisely
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, the ability to systematically break down complex issues and tasks into manageable pieces
  • Demonstrates a can do attitude under pressure while keeping a clear understanding of user impact
