Job Description

Immuno-oncology, Human 3D Cultures, ECM, Flow Cytometry, Cancer Genomics, Tissue Engineering Your new companyCurrently undergoing an aggressive growth, our client are developing an exciting portfolio of programmes in fibrosis and solid tumours using their unique human extracellular matrix (ECM)-based discovery platform. This allows the study of human pathophysiologyleading to the discovery of novel targets and therapeutics that will benefit patients through the acceleration of drug discovery in liver disease and cancer!Your new role

  • Utilising your background in immuno-oncology research and expertise in flow cytometry, you will use genomics and proteomic-based approaches such as CRISPR/Cas9, to design and perform experiments in order to validate drug targets and novel therapeutic agentsin the fields of liver and pancreatic cancer.
  • You will contribute to ongoing immuno-oncology R&D projects through establishing high-throughput cell-based assays, and 3D tissue cultures of primary cells and cell lines, aimed at target discovery and validation.
What youll need to succeed
  • You will hold a PhD or MSc in Cancer Genomics, Immuno-oncology/immunology, Molecular Pharmacology, Cell Biology (or in a related field).
  • You will have demonstrable experience in performing immuno-oncology laboratory research in an industrial (or academic) setting (including strong flow cytometry experience for cell sorting and analysis).
  • You will have significant hands-on experience of cell culture (primary cells and cell lines) and key molecular biology techniques, including RNA/DNA extraction, qRT-PCR, ELISA, and western blotting.
  • You will have strong imaging experience (fluorescence microscopy, immunohistochemistry/ histology, tissue engineering).
  • Work experience in the biotech/pharma industry, and familiarity with oncology drug development would be an advantage.
