Senior Scala Engineer Scala, Python, Spark, Kafka, AWSOverview: Our client a leading digital distributor of household financial services requires an experienced Senior Scala Engineer who have strong capabilities in Ci/CD-DevOps and advanced/FP Scala on a rolling contract paying up to £550 per day OUTSIDE IR 35 with remoteworking. As a Senior Scala Engineer in my clients team you will be driving the development of quality solutions for our customers and be proactive in adopting and championing best practices.You will make a real impact by taking an active role in the teams agile practices, technical decision-making and development, generating value and continuously striving to improve the quality and reliability of our data. You will be working on complex, challenging and exciting enterprise-level Big Data solutions/programmes, which are SUPER cutting-edge. For this Senior Scala Engineer vacancy, you must have: Scala, Kafka, Spark, Python, AWS FP (using the likes of Akka, Cats, Play/Http4s, Slick/Doobie, Zio/Monix) Strong grasp of Big Data, SQL and database technologies Enthusiasm for agile and lean development Ci/CD-DevOps and advanced/FP Scala Exposure to operation of business critical data products AWS, RedShift, Kinesis experience Git, CI/CD, Test driven approach (TDD/BDD) Rate - £550 per day OUTSIDE IR 35 - 3-month rolling contract - remote working - 2-stage interview process Senior Scala Engineer
