Senior Risk / GDPR Manager - Professional Association - Central London / Hybrid Working - up to £55k (DoE) + benefitsWere looking for a Senior Risk / GDPR Manager, with experience managing a business continuity programme an prior responsibility for risk management and data protection,to join a large professional association, based near Victoria, London.The SeniorRisk / GDPR Manager will manage the process for identifying, reporting and mitigating risks for the company, monitoring compliance with external legal and regulatory obligations and managing the process for effectiveand consistently applied internal policies and procedures.In a nutshell: Were looking for someone with demonstrable prior responsibility for risk management and data protection, experience managing a business continuity programme, solid knowledge of GDPR regulations and compliance requirementsand a good understanding of change / project management methodologies.You will be a proactive problem-solver with excellent commercial acumen and the initiative and drive to deliver results and make a difference.Whats on offer Our client is offering a competitive salary and benefits package which includes pension scheme, life assurance, private medical insurance, 26 days annual leave, STL, Cycle to Work Scheme, flexible / hybrid working and more!Key responsibilities as the Senior Risk / GDPR Manager will include:

• Leading change management processes to comply with GDPR/Data protection principles
• Managing the Internal Audit programme including updating and reporting to the Audit and Risk Committee
• Proactively network internally and externally to maintain effective understanding, and implementation of, developments in best practice in risk management and compliance
• Working with directors and managers to ensure local risk registers are created and effectively managed for all departments
• Managing the business continuity programme, keeping documentation up-to-date and implementing periodic test exercises
• Assisting the Head of Programme Office on risk insurance
• Leading the project to achieve and maintain ISO27001 compliance
• Assisting in investigating, evaluating, developing and implementing systems to improve the effectiveness of the risk and compliance function
• Leading, motivating and developing the Risk Executive
• Working with the Head of Finance to maintain an effective procurement policy

What were looking for:

• Previous experience in a similar Risk Management / GDPR management role
• Prior responsibility for risk management and data protection
• Experienced in managing a business continuity programme
• Good working knowledge of GDPR regulations and compliance requirements
• Ability to identify areas for lean improvements and cost saving
• Good understanding of change and/or project management methodologies
• Experience using SharePoint as a data and procedure store
• Ability to present complex data clearly and simply
• Proactive problem-solving team player
• Highly organised nature with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• IT literate with excellent MS Office skills
