Job Description

Senior Python Developer £60,000-£80,000Fully RemoteThe Company:An exciting FinTech business is hiring a Senior Python Developer to join their expanding their UK-based team. This company is working at the cutting-edge of the industry, using technology to analyse email data to offer insights for Financial Services businesses.They are seeking a motivated and commercially experienced Python Software Engineer who is looking for fast progression in a dynamic and supportive team atmosphere.The Role:As a Senior Python Developer, you will have a range of responsibilities, including:

  • Design, development, and upkeep of required software using Python
  • Design, development, and upkeep of essential microservices
  • Design, development and upkeep of APIs
  • Establishing and promoting the use of best practices in the software engineering life cycle
  • Collaborating and communicating the Engineering Lead as well as colleagues across the London and Offshore teams
  • Mentoring junior software engineers, enhancing their development
YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
  • Commercial experience in a similar role
  • Significant commercial experience as a Python Backend Software Engineer
  • Commercial experience working with APIs
  • In-depth experience of using Cloud-based technologies such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform
  • Experience with data processing libraries e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with TDD/BDD
  • Experience with SQL
