Job Description

Senior Software Engineer - PythonLondon £70,000 - £100,000 + BenefitsThis is your chance to work small but growing start-up company working in a rewarding and challenging industry. They are looking for a talented Python Developer to come and work closely with their CEO, CTO and Machine Learning research team to design and build the tooling and frameworks to support strategy research and development, help turn prototype trading models into production-ready systems as well as architecting the high-level design of the strategy software to minimise trading latency and scale effetely.THE COMPANY:This company is looking to begin expanding their trading strategy research activity to help build advanced platforms for sports betting analytics and trading. Their core systems handle thousands of events per second, 24/7. The company prides itself on its use of cutting-edge technologies and the value of your hard work being directly shown in the profit you will make.THE ROLE:Your role working as a Senior Software Engineer for the company will be largely performed in Python and will encompass a range of responsibilities throughout enhancing the continuation of the company, such as:

  • Design and build the tooling and frameworks to support strategy research and development
  • Distributed computation software
  • Dashboards for strategy evaluation
  • Tools for working with underlying data effectively
  • Help turn prototype trading models into production-ready systems
  • Architecting the high-level design of the strategy software to minimise trading latency and scale effectively.
    • YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:What your role as a Senior Software Engineer will require:
  • Strong commercial experience building software systems in Python
  • Experience with High Performance Computing
  • Strong passion for modern software engineering approaches
  • Strong communication skills
  • Degree from a top tier university in a scientific or technical discipline
  • Familiarity with cloud environments, such as AWS, and associated technologies
  • Experience working within a Linux environment
    • THE BENEFITS:The salary for your role as a Senior Software Engineer is between £70,000-100,000.Along with this salary, the company are providing:
