Job Description

Senior Python Developer, Central London - Up to £90k DOE plus benefits or £650/dayThis tech business are experts at understanding the impact of political narratives on local audiences. They’re currently looking to hire a Senior Python Developer interested in leading projects at the forefront of the intersections between cyber security, current affairs, civil society and the digital space.This Senior Python Developer will be:

  • Developing new tools to expand their internal analytics toolset
  • Producing, testing, debugging code
  • Developing data collection pipelines for our analysts
    • This Senior Python Developer will have the following essential skills / attributes / knowledge:
  • Python along with Pandas, Dash, Plotly, Flask
  • Hands on ability designing and implementing cloud solutions such as AWS. E.g. Lambda functions, API Gateway, Elasticsearch, Amazon Redshift, DynamoDB, SNS/SQS
  • Strong knowledge of Relational, NoSQL, Graph, databases (Postgres, BigQuery, MongoDB, Neo4j)
  • Solid knowledge of Terraform, Jenkins, Docker, Ansible
  • Knowledge and design of microservices, transaction processing, messaging systems
  • Performance tuning of large data sets or data warehouse experience. Data modelling. OO design, testing frameworks
  • Dev Ops exposure with implementation of Ansible, Docker, Jenkins, Terraform
  • Client facing experience
    • This Senior Python Developer will have desirable skills such as:
  • Experience with a machine learning library - Tensorflow/Keras, pytorch, or scikit-learn
  • Experience building python packages
  • Experience with database design
  • Experience with PDF text extraction or Optical Character Recognition
