Job Description

SENIOR PRODUCT OWNERUP TO £70,000LONDON (HYBRID)THE COMPANYI am working with one of the UKs leading Data Science companies where you will be owning and providing leadership on their range of data products.THE ROLEThe successful Senior Product Owner responsibilities will include:

  • Take the lead of scrum teams (daily stand up) as the Product Owner for Data products
  • Provide the vision and direction to the agile development team and stakeholders throughout the projects and create requirements
  • Ensuring the team has an adequate amount of prior prepared tasks to work on
  • Planning and prioritising product feature backlog and development for the product
  • Defining product vision, road-map and growth opportunities
  • Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy
  • Provide backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories
  • Work closely with Product Management to create and maintain a product backlog according to business value or ROI
  • Lead the planning product release plans and set the expectation for delivery of new functionalities
  • Research and analyse market, the users, and the roadmap for the product
  • Socialise Data products across the business and with external stakeholders
  • Work with marketing, communications and sales to create marketing and sales collateral for the products
  • Assist pre-sales and post-sales with the delivery of the products
  • Assist account teams with the support and up-sell of the products
  • Provide management and stakeholders with regular Product updates and product reports as required
  • Own product, lead daily stand-ups, have a team of data engineers and data scientists who are aligned to products, all stand up every morn, every fortnight have a product - whats the priorities, but also the retrospective, how does everything work, whatdo the sales team
  • Fortnightly - working with marketing - why is our product better, supporting sales team
  • Other fortnight, report into senior management, progress + status of product
  • Write reports once a C-Suite
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEThe successful Senior Product Owner will have the following skills and experience:
  • Someone who understands data
  • Worked closely with data scientists before
  • Understanding of performance marketing
  • Really good communicator, collaborative, experience talking through and owning the product, stand-up for it, explain it, good communicator
  • 3+ years of experience
