Role: Senior Procurement Officer - Responsible ProcurementRole Type: PermanentSalary: Salary: £37,653 - £51,783Location: London/HybridWe are looking for a highly motivated and passionate Senior Procurement Officer (Responsible Procurement) to work as part of the Procurement and Commercial Service where you will bring responsible procurement expertise and a passion for sustainable developmentto help deliver its ambitious Responsible Procurement and Commissioning Strategy.Specifically, you will:· Support the implementation and delivery of the Responsible Procurement & Commissioning Strategy.· Support the tendering team and contract managers with integrating RPC.· Evaluate bidder responses to RPC questions in tenders and train colleagues on how to evaluate RPC responses.· Help to identify RPC risks and opportunities from the outset of each procurement exercise and have oversight of RPC integration at each stage of the process.· Develop guidance and training on RPC for a range of stakeholders including the procurement team, contract managers, commissioners and suppliers, including smaller and voluntary and community sector organisations (VCSOs).· Support the implementation of the action plan set out in their Modern Slavery Statement,· Work with Social Value Managers and community-facing colleagues to identify community need, employment, skills and training (EST) gaps and other initiatives that can be supported by suppliers.· Form close working relationships with strategic suppliers and their contract managers to identify barriers and facilitate the delivery of RPC commitments in contracts, including adherence to our Supplier Charter.Key skills required-· At least three years experience working to promote or deliver responsible procurement or related fields such as sustainable development, social value, modern slavery due diligence in business and/or supply chains.· Familiarity with working as part of a team to achieve strategic objectives.· Project management experience· Ability to think creatively and collaborate with others to deliver tangible and ambitious outcomes.· Interpersonal skills and an ability to influence and engage others.· A passion for sustainable development and the ability to translate strategic objectives into operational plans.· An authentic commitment to equality and diversity, with an ability to demonstrate personal leadership on the importance of diversity.QualificationsEssential: A degree or equivalent work experience in sustainable development, corporate social responsibility, supply chain management, business and human rights or related field.Desirable: CIPS level 4
