Job Description

Senior PR ManagerLocation: Andover or LondonSalary: CompetitiveAbout the Company:Our client are experts in powering multichannel home energy, broadband, digital TV and mobile phones comparison and switching. Through their brands Broadband Finder, Digital TV, Energy Helpline and Mobile Phones, they are the UK’s leading full-service comparison and switching platform in the home services market - saving millions of pounds for consumers across the country. They work with a wide range of partners across industries such as price comparison and print media, as well as PropTech, FinTech and financial services, helping them power their own successful energy and telecoms switching solutions to their customers.They have an exciting new opportunity for a Senior PR Manager to join the Marketing Team, reporting to the Marketing Director. The role will focus on raising the companys profile with consumers and partners through relevant external media.Senior PR Manager Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute a consumer PR strategy targeted at potential customers to switch energy, broadband and other home services
  • Design and implement the PR strategy targeted at potential B2B partners
  • Develop and deliver innovative communications campaigns to meet ambitious business targets through driving brand consideration and perception
  • Drive cross-team collaboration to ensure full integration across owned, earned and bought channels
  • Manage integrated content strategy and content calendar
  • Develop and execute an effective newsjacking programme on key energy and consumer issues across traditional and new media. Build and maintain relationships with key media and journalists
  • Key spokesperson, taking part in media interviews on behalf of the organisation. Identify and liaise with spokespeople in the business and conduct media training
  • Manage an external PR agency to deliver the communications strategy to agreed targets/budgets
  • Devise strategic metrics to measure the impact of the communications strategy, including traffic, new customers, backlinks, and revenue
  • Develop benchmarks, reporting and drive efficiencies through Twitter
  • Provide external communications counsel to Senior Group Executives in the business to identify areas of focus for communications and thought leadership activity, building reputation and share of voice using earned and owned channels
  • Senior PR Manager Requirements:
  • Significant demonstratable experience in communications/PR, preferably from the energy, retail, FMCG, consumer tech or lifestyle sectors (energy experience is highly desirable)
  • Experience of executing communications activity to drive brand consideration and contribute to business outcomes
  • In-depth understanding of the UK media landscape
  • Experienced media handler with front line’ communications experience, borne through extensive media relationships
  • Experience of being part of a cross-channel team and a solid understanding of the interplay between PR, social and content
  • Highly developed verbal, written, analytical and presentation skills
  • Strong organisational and project management skills with a focus on planning, setting priorities, executing process and delivering results on time
  • Excellent problem-solver with a high level of resilience, maturity and sound judgment
  • Ambitious self-starter
  • Creativity and the ability to build communications campaigns that integrate across all marcomms channels
  • Outside-in perspective, with the drive and desire to stay close to industry trends and identify opportunities
  • The ability to think strategically, yet also execute
  • Hands-on, roll up sleeves’ approach, and ability, to getting the job done
  • Passion for helping consumers save money on their bills and being part of the drive to create a more competitive home services market.
  • Degree desired, preferably in marketing communications/PR
