Job Description

As a Senior Oracle .Net Core Developer your role will focus on the migration of the Swift message interface to the new format (SWIFT MX / ISO 20022). In addition as part of the project, the aim is also to start the technology transformation of the back-endcomponents from the legacy Pro C/Oracle to .Net Core/Oracle. This project will be also be POC for future migration/transformation of back-end components.Client DetailsMy client is a Tier One Investment Bank operating in Financial Services industry with offices in London.DescriptionMy London based Financial Services client is looking for a Senior Oracle .Net Core Developer to engage in the following:

  • Engage in the development of an application thats core is primarily developed using C/Pro-C, Python, SQL & PL/SQL running on Linux environment against Oracle RAC databases. The user interaction is done via a web interface developed using C#/.Net hostedon windows servers.
  • A key part of the settlement platform is to generate Swift message and starting from 2022, the swift message format is being migrated to SWIFT MX / ISO 20022. You will engage in the migration of this interface to the new format.
  • Engage in part of the project that also aims to start the technology transformation of the back-end components from the legacy Pro C/Oracle to .Net Core/Oracle. This project will be also be POC for future migration/transformation of back-end components.
ProfileTo be considered for the Senior Oracle .Net Core Developer role at my Financial Services clients site in London, the candidate must present evidence of the following:
  • The candidate must have strong software development and analytical skills, and experience of working closely with stakeholders and with on and offshore development teams.
  • The candidate must exhibit strong software engineering skills. They must be able to interact confidently with stakeholders and have experience on working on high availability systems.
  • Candidates will be expected to have proven track record of delivery and a detailed knowledge of the systems they have worked on.
Essential Skills Excellent development expertise in Unix/Linux .Net Core and SQL Good PL/SQL programming skills - developing complex packages, stored procedures, functions and implementing best practices in PL/SQL programing Use of unit-testing strategies Educated to degree-level at minimum in a numerate or technical disciplineDesirable Skills Python Good knowledge Linux/Unix OS & its commands Good knowledge of the DevOps toolset - BitBucket, Jenkins, Ansible, Artifactory etc. Strong interest in understanding the business needs Source code refactoringJob OfferReceive up to £700 per day INSIDE IR35.Minimum 6 month contract.Opportunity for hybrid working.
