Job Description

Senior Offshore Renewable Energy Underwriter£90,000 to £110,000 for LondonWe currently have an opportunity for an experienced underwriter or broker, who specialises in the field of renewable energy, to join our growing Renewable Energy and Engineering team. This would be a great job for someone who has gained excellent exposurerecently to underwriting Offshore wind, and who has a strong network within the London Insurance market.A bit about the job:We are expanding our Renewable Energy offering and you will support this expansion in line with Avivas ESG and Zet Zero ambitions. You will liaise regularly with a panel of brokers (both virtually and face-to-face), ensuring that strong working relationshipsare formed; undertake relevant underwriting tasks; and also be involved in strategic ideas and assist with product development, ensuring steady growth and success for this specialised area of underwriting.Aviva introduced smart-working in 2020 and encourage flexible working; however, the successful post-holder will need to be based a commutable distance from our London offices.Skills and experience were looking for:

  • Prior / recent London Insurance Market experience
  • Offshore Wind experience - thanks to undertaking a relevant underwriting or broker role recently
  • Excellent network knowledge of the London Broker market, matched with confident communication and relationship management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as you will have to work within a close-knit team
  • Portfolio management skills are highly desirable
