Job Description

Senior Network Engineer (Must be eligible for SC Clearance)Salary: £55,000 -£70,000 + BonusLocation: Croydon, LondonMy client is a well-established professional services customer that is looking to grow their Network and Infrastructure team and are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to support their growing client base. The Senior Network Engineer will be required to have extensive network knowledge and strong security background with practical experience in designing and implementing solutions. The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for setting up, developing, and maintaining computer networks for internal and external customers. This will involve leading a team, supporting users, and troubleshooting any problems that arise. This role will be based in London with travel to and from customer sites on occasion. Due to the nature of the role candidates must be eligible for SC clearance.Requirements

  • Design and delivery networking services and security solutions.
  • Implement new solutions and improve resilience of the current environments
  • Experience with Datacenter migration services.
  • Experience with Cloud network services utilising Azure, AWS and other Cloud service providers
  • Design and delivery of public and private Wireless solutions
  • Experience with hardware and software solutions including Juniper, Cisco, Dell and HP
  • System configuration, directing system installation and defining, documenting and enforcing system standards
  • Maximise network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades and collaborating with network architects on network optimisation
  • Secure network systems by establishing and enforcing policies, and defining and monitoring access
  • Support and administer firewall environments in line with IT security policy
  • Upgrade data network equipment to the latest stable firmware releases
  • Configure routing and switching equipment, hosted IP voice services and firewalls
  • Undertake capacity management and audit of IP addressing and hosted devices within datacentres
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written presentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical designs and solutions to non-technical audiences.
  • Establishing and maintaining a strong relationship with clients
  • Willingness to learn and try new technologies
  • Driving Licence is required as travel to client sites will be required when defining and delivering projects
  • Have the right to work in the UK and to be eligible for SC Clearance
