If you have a passion for solving intricate networking challenges, optimizing performance, and delivering top-notch solutions, we invite you to join our team.Client DetailsMy client - an organisation in the IT Sector are looking for a Senior Network Engineer- join their site in London remotely on an initial 6-month contract outside IR35.DescriptionThe successful candidate for the Senior Network Engineer- 6-month contract role will fulfil the following responsibilities:

• Utilize your expertise to design and implement intricate network architectures for our clients, ensuring high availability, security, and scalability.
• Analyse technical architecture of Network (Core- Distribution and access levels) to understand dependencies, points of failure, impacts, to provide recommendations for Network and continuously improve resiliency across our infrastructure.
• The Senior Network Engineer is responsible of the design, integration, deployment, and performance evaluation of the full end to end Network (Core-Distribution-Aggregation-Access) following a continuous integration and development approach on all aspects.
• Create and implement high and low-level designs in alignment with architecture principles and standards.
• In-depth troubleshooting, troubleshoot issues efficiently while effectively communicating escalations and outcomes.
• Lead on projects including design, development, integration and deployment
• Act as a senior member for the Network engineering team, providing an escalation point, and acting as a mentor to other engineers in the team.
• Leverage your proficiency with wireless technologies such as Meraki and Aruba to deploy and manage wireless networks that meet our clients performance and security needs.
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot switches across various levels (Core, Distribution, Aggregation, Access) from vendors like HP and Cisco, ensuring seamless network connectivity.
• Have advanced experience in analysing, configuring, managing, monitoring and troubleshooting firewalls from vendors such as Palo Alto and FortiGate to implement robust security measures and protect clients networks from threats.
• Preferred experience with ship-to-shore systems and networking, providing specialized solutions for maritime-related connectivity needs.
• Maintain thorough documentation of network designs, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for future reference and knowledge sharing.

ProfileTo be considered for the Senior Network Engineer- contract role in London/ remote the candidate must present evidence of the following:

• Experienced engineer with at least CCNP or equivalent level certification.
• Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience working with complex network architectures and solutions.
• Advanced knowledge and experience with wireless network technologies such as Meraki and Aruba.
• Proficiency in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting switches from vendors like HP and Cisco across different network levels.
• Strong expertise in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting firewalls with vendors like Palo Alto and Fortigate.
• Familiarity with ship-to-shore IT systems and networking is a plus.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills, particularly for diagnosing and resolving performance-related network issues.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with clients and presenting technical information clearly.

Job Offer

• 6 month contract outside IR35 paying between £400- 600 daily.
• 3 days p/week in the central London office, 2 days p/week from home.
