Job Description

Senior Network Engineer A global SaaS company with an impressive client base has created a new position for a Senior Network Engineer to support a SaaS webcasting service production network infrastructure.The environment is varied & includes a mix of transaction processing and media/stream distribution technologies presenting a variety of interesting and unique network challenges.The Senior Network Engineer will work cross functionally as part of a small team to monitor, operate, maintain and scale a global network infrastructure, ensuring 24/7 availability and optimal performance for the EMEA & US network infrastructure includingdata centres.This can be a remote position located anywhere in the UK or based out of their London office.Responsibilitiesfor the Senior Network Engineer include:

  • Monitor the global network infrastructure using a pool of tools and systems.
  • Support both production and corporate network requests.
  • Operate and maintain core network infrastructure.
  • Operate and maintain signaling network infrastructure working with signal operations.
  • Operate and maintain, WAN, transit, sip trunking and other core networking services.
  • Operate and maintain public cloud services working with engineering, DevOps etc.
  • Operate and maintain network security infrastructure and policies.
Some of the key skills for the Senior Network Engineer will include:
  • Experience and knowledge: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VRF, HSRP
  • Experience and knowledge: RSTP, VPC
  • Experience and knowledge: TCP/IP, SIP, NAT, PBR, IPSEC/SSL VPN
  • Familiarity and proficiency: monitoring systems like NAGIOS or SOLARWINDS
  • Familiarity and proficiency: CISCO, ARISTA, F5, FORTINET, BROCADE, HP
  • Familiarity and proficiency: Linux and Windows
  • Desirable: scripting, automation, DevOps, public cloud, virtualization, UCS
