Senior Network Development (NetDev) EngineerA global powerhouse in the mobile satellite communications industry are looking for an Senior Network Development (NetDev) Engineer to join their team in London on a permanent basis - The role will be onboarded remotely, however candidates must be based within commutable distance to London.They have invested and innovated their high-speed global ground network - A critical part of the investment includes expanding their global software-defined network (SDN) and the use of Networks Function Virtualisation (NFV), as they migrate and automate the majority of their network functions onto their cloud platforms.The Senior Network Development (NetDev) Engineer will be a hybrid software and network engineer, who will inject network automation capabilities into their ground networks, by running proof of concept evaluations, and by driving the delivery of their combined core network, cloud/NFV and SDN solutions successfully into operations. The candidate will be integral to building the next generation of networks for network optimisation, mobility and growth to scale over the next decade and beyond.The role demands a strong technical acumen, hands-on skills, stakeholder engagement, and an appetite for potential global travel to our ground stations and data centres throughout the world.Essential Knowledge and Skills:
