Job Description

Unite the Game and Inspire the Nation through Winning England Teams.The Football Association (The FA) is the governing body of football in England. We are responsible for promoting and developing the game at all levels; from grassroots through to the professionalgame, The Emirates FA Cup and the England international teams. We have two core assets: Wembley Stadium and St. Georges Park.To deliver against our goal we have reallocated resources and invested heavily in developing a team of exceptional people capableof creating winning England teams at our world-class training facilities at St. Georges Park in Staffordshire.This is a unique and exciting time to join The FA and the Technical Team will be integral to the organisation achieving its goals.Role DescriptionManageand co-ordinate the administrative and operational support for the England Senior Mens Team.Key Accountabilities Provide both on and off the road administrative and operational support to the England Senior Mens team.Lead on seasonal planning for the EnglandSenior Mens team, across both 2-year UEFA European and Nations League cycles, and 4-year FIFA tournament cycles, plus contribute to long term tournament plans and strategy that are driven by other members of the Senior team staff.Collate information relatingto the England Senior Mens team fixture list to foster accurate, efficient planning for team events, and to enable effective cross department planning.Coordinate the administration of squad selection and associated England Senior Mens team logistical requirements,to include regular and consistent liaison with clubs and players.Travel to all home and away matches, training camps and tournaments with the England Senior Mens team.Support the England Team Travel Manager with recces, when required, contributing to reviewsand giving feedback in order to identify suitable venues that meet team requirements.Financial Management of England Senior Mens Team Events, including preparation of 4YP, budget reforecast, and event cost reconciliation for each event and end of year reporting.Be diligent with the seasonal budget, recommendations for spend efficiencies, and working closely with the Head of National Team Operations and Finance to identify areas of risk throughout the season.Contribute to the working group involved in the projectmanagement and planning for major UEFA & FIFA tournaments when the England Senior Mens Team is involved.Contribute to the core MDT staff group, both off camp and on camp, as well as the Incident Management response group supporting major tournaments whenthe England Senior Mens team is involved.Develop important relationships across all major internal and external stakeholders, including close liaison with England team staff, SGP Operations, Performance, Marketing, Commercial, and Communications, amongstothers, and liaise directly with UEFA & FIFA and Foreign Associations with tournament / match planning where appropriate.Strong and Influential line management of the Team Manager - Senior Mens.Execute additional tasks as required in order to meet FA Groupchanging priorities.What we are looking forEssentialExtensive Lead Team Manager experience at major international sporting tournament(s)Proven Track record of managing complex stakeholders and working in a pressurised environmentConfidence and credibilityto operate at a senior level including strong influencing, negotiation, and facilitation skillsAble to travel regularly (UK / Overseas)Flexible approach to working hoursProject management experience within an elite sport environmentExceptional organisational,planning and communication skillsLine Management experiencePrevious responsibility for budget management and accurate financial reportingCompetent in the use of IT systems for creation, storage, and dissemination of informationDesirable Senior Team Managementattendance and delivery at one or more of the following: European Championships, Commonwealth Games, World Championships, Olympic GamesExpert problem solving and decision-making skillsExperience in event managementWhat we can offer youAn exciting and challengingrole within a changing, dynamic and world-renowned sports organisation.Attractive benefits and a competitive salary for the right candidate.The Football Association Group promotes inclusion and diversity, and welcomes applications from everyone.
