Job Description

Purpose of jobThe primary duties of this role include:

  • Developing and delivering the commercial marketing strategy and plans for the upcoming development pipeline (primarily in London);
  • Supporting in the delivery of a plan/campaign that ensures that we are partner of choice into the next development pipeline for both existing and new customers;
  • Changing the way in which we speak about ourselves as a business - shift from product features > customer benefit;
  • Mentoring team members
  • Leading on any RFPs; and
  • Ensuring the Marketing Director is fully supported.
Scope of jobPeople
  • To work closely with the marketing managers and marketing executives on their delivery of all development/asset marketing plans
  • To work closely with the portfolio/asset, development, and leasing teams
  • Work closely with creative agencies, including PR agency
Financial
  • To directly manage all budgets for own projects and oversee the management of other marketing budgets
Other
  • To ensure that the commercial marketing function is meeting the needs of its clients, peers and potential clients.
Principle accountabilities
  • Develop marketing strategies and directly manage and oversee the implementation/activation of them
  • Responsible for the management of all external commercial marketing agencies, including the adherence to contracts, SLAs and pitch processes
  • Responsible for seeking out innovative and forward-thinking solutions for commercial marketing campaigns, including digital, to stay ahead of competitors and deliver cut through for Landsec
  • Manage the commercial budgets effectively
  • Responsible for circa £500,000 -£1.5million marketing budget for each new development
  • Responsible for all digital assets and digital campaigns relating to owned projects
  • Stakeholder management
  • Working closely with key stakeholders in the business to ensure all output is delivered in line with Landsec vision and strategy. Delivering on Landsecs 5 differentiators wherever possible
Decision making authorityWithout reference:
  • Development and implementation of commercial marketing strategies
  • Manage marketing budgets effectively
  • Develop and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders
With reference:
  • Work closely with the rest of the marketing team to ensure we are delivering against BU KPIs and that we have consistent and appropriate processes in place
  • Develop marketing strategies to support overall Workplace division business objectives.

  • Previous property and offices marketing experience
  • Understanding of London property, offices and development landscape
  • Must have B2B experience
  • Proven track record in creative marketing and branding
  • Commercially aware. Able to deliver work cost effectively and able to work to tight budgets and deadlines
  • Cross channel experience, including overseeing: website creation, social assets, EDMs, digital content, app content
  • Understanding of performance marketing
  • Experience of agency management
  • Proven experience in stakeholder management
  • Experience of appointing creative agencies, including pitch process
Desirable
  • PR understanding and experience
  • Strong copywriting skills
