Job Description

Senior Group Finance Manager

  • £70-80,000 + bonus & superb benefits

    • Stellar opportunity to join this iconic Entertainment giant that is instantly recognisable globally as both an employer of choice and in producing innovative, cutting edge and multi-award winning content.Reporting to the Director, Group Finance you will manage the external reporting process for one of their key business units reviewing the actuals for multiple regions and then consolidation up to their US HQ.Key Accountabilities:
  • Consolidation and review of both monthly and quarterly management reporting including income statement, balance sheet and roll forwards to ensure high standard and timely delivery.
  • Leading month/quarter end reporting to meet reporting requirements.
  • Guiding and influencing Business Units through the monthly and quarterly reporting processes.
  • Supporting various regional Business Units and senior finance staff and advising them on technical accounting issues
  • Preparation and analysis of Q on Q comparisons on results.
  • Resolving queries from the External Financial Reporting team and Accounting team in US.
  • Responsible for Accounting Manual, ensuring it is up-to-date with USGAAP and company Policies.
  • Responsible for statutory filing of some UK/EMEA Holdcos
  • Ad-hoc project work as directed by the Group FD
  • Manage/develop a small finance team
    • Required Experience/Knowledge:
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA or ACCA) with significant PQE experience
  • Experience & understanding of multinational and multicurrency consolidations
  • Technically strong with good knowledge of accounting standards-US GAAP experience preferred but not essential
  • Media experience advantageous but not mandatory
  • Excellent IT skills with advanced Excel
  • A confident communicator with good inter-personal skills and comfortable at dealing with people at all levels in the organisation.
  • Able to plan and communicate a process, and manage it to its conclusion
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team, willing and able to take on responsibility
  • Flexible, pragmatic and reliable
