Senior Manager, Regulatory Policy - Investment Banking - London - up to £95,000 + BonusAre you a technically strong regulatory accountant Would you like a role with a heavily strategic focusA leading international investment bank is currently hiring into the Regulatory Policy team. A newly created role, you will be accountable for the assessment of new legislation and rule interpretation for regulated entities across the UK and Europe.There are two key objectives to this role:1. Identifying and assessing the commercial impact of new prudential regulatory requirements on the Bank. This includes understanding required calculations and reporting obligations as well as producing written translations and analysis for the reportingteams.2. Supporting Front Office with understanding the regulatory impact and environment of any new or existing products to be made available for customers. Youll have to have a strong commercial and strategic head whilst maintaining your technical knowledge.To succeed in this role you will need an excellent knowledge of current UK and EU prudential regulations, specifically IFD/IFR and CRD/CRR. Youll have a background in assessing the impact of regulatory change on a business and the ability to communicatethis clearly to commercial teams.Youll be a strong relationship builder, able to work closely with multiple functions to help them understand the regulatory environment they operate within.Open on background for this role - several career routes could be a good fit:- Big 4 or Consulting background where you have operated in a Financial Services Prudential Regulation function- Regulatory body including Bank of England, PRA, FCA where you have worked with investment banks and built a sound regulatory knowledge- Investment Banking, coming from the policy team of another Investment Bank.
