This global multinational Legal Professional Services group, operating within the UK, Europe, US and Asia, is one of the largest firms in the world. With a reputation for delivering outstanding services and innovative product solutions, the business has established a track record for completing international assignments on behalf of a worldwide blue-chip client base. The development of an internal Project team, supporting a range of key business stakeholders, has created a high-profile opportunity for a Qualified Corporate Lawyer or an experienced Legal Project Manager with proven expertise, to undertake a commercial and operationally focused role. A broad and varied brief includes:•Providing project management and coordination on large, cross border M&A; private equity; corporate reorganisation and commercial contract projects•Assisting with development of project management tools, methodologies, resources & technologies •Supporting lawyers in the use of collaboration tool including problem solving, trouble-shooting & participating in technology improvements •Developing matter plans, budgets, workflows, timelines, conducting scoping & agreeing assumptions •Proactively managing changes in scope, identifying risks & developing contingencies •Working with the International Client Management team on financial progress reports; analysing work in progress across multiple jurisdictions & work streams; identifying out of scope actions; preparing revised scopes & communicating with local lawyers, relationship firm lawyers & clients in connection with matters of cost management •Identifying & supporting process, policy & procedure improvements across legal project management function & legal service delivery •Supporting Legal Project Management team in development & delivery of project management training for lawyers •Keeping up to date with market trends & horizon spotting & identifying opportunities •Supporting efficiencies across service delivery practices & driving improved profitabilityAs either a Qualified Lawyer with experience of leading corporate/commercial transactions within a large law firm/corporate in-house Legal team or a Legal Project Manager with 2-3 years relevant experience, you will demonstrate the gravitas to influence key stakeholders, outstanding interpersonal and presentation skills and the ability to manage several concurrent project lifecycles.
