Job Description

As Senior Lecturer: Graduate Employability Lead for Chelsea, Camberwell and Wimbledon (CCW), you will assume responsibility for the academic leadership and management of employability focused student experiences across the colleges. You will be in theunique position as an academic working across the schools and programmes, tailoring your delivery to recognise the needs of Fine Art, Performance and Design.You will take responsibility for the design, development and delivery of the Diploma in professionalstudies (DPS). DPS is an optional year delivered at the end of stage 2. You will support course teams as the programme develops, recognising the breadth of employment and enterprise opportunities. You will lead, develop and deliver the Collaborative and Collectivepractices unit across CCW; the unit brings students together to work collaboratively during stage 2.You will support course teams, deploying specialist expertise to deliver and develop pedagogy in line with a commitment to employability skills, supportingeffective delivery of Creative attributes framework curriculum content. (https://about-ual/teaching-and-learning-exchange/careers-and-employability/creative-attributes-framework) You will preside over the day-to-day management of employability/ enterprisefocused experiences across CCW, including all areas of learning, teaching and assessment of students as well as resource allocation, whilst observing and implementing the policies and procedures of the University and the colleges. Experience of course administration, pedagogic innovation,assessment processes and procedures are also essential for the role. You will have a broad approach to professional practice and employability, sensitive to the differences related to performance, fine art and Design as represented across CCW.To inspire studentsand staff alike, you must be a leading practitioner in your field, always up to date with the latest developments in professional practice. You will maintain strong links with design practitioners from a wide range of professions, subjects and disciplinesand build collaborative links with a range of institutions and employers.
