Job Description

Senior KDB+ Developer Location:LondonSalary:£90,000 - £120,000Working Model: Hybrid (2 days on site)OverviewAre you an experienced kdb+ Developer looking for an exciting opportunity to showcase your skills and lead technical teams We are seeking a talented individual to join our dynamic company as a kdb+ Developer. If you have a strong background in kdb+ development,proven technical leadership abilities, and a desire to work in the Capital Markets/Investment Banking sector, then this role is perfect for you.At our core, we are a data and technology consultancy firm. Our key area of expertise is financial and capital markets technology solutions. However, the utility of these solutions allow us to apply fintech data expertise to other industries such as smartenergy and healthcare.What you will be doing as a Senior KDB+ developer:

  • Provide technical leadership on client projects, ensuring successful delivery within set timelines and budgets.
  • Lead and mentor technical teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Define technical architectures and solutions for new applications, working closely with business users to understand requirements.
  • Develop, test, support, and maintain code for client applications, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
  • Analyze data and generate reports for clients, incorporating valuable insights and findings.
Requirements of a Senior KDB+ developer:
  • Minimum 5 years of kdb+ development experience, demonstrating proficiency in creating and maintaining kdb+ solutions.
  • Experience in defining and implementing kdb+ architectures, delivering technical solutions to industry standards and methodologies.
  • Strong expertise in a Unix/Linux environment, with a track record of delivering technical solutions in this setting.
  • Demonstratable technical leadership and decision-making skills, including the ability to communicate and liaise effectively with key stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of tailoring messages to diverse audiences.
  • Enthusiasm for technical improvement, staying up to date with the latest advances in the field.
  • Minimum 2:1 Bachelors Degree in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or related scientific/engineering discipline.
  • Experience working or delivering solutions in the Capital Markets/Investment Banking sector.
Desired Experience and Skills:(Dont rule yourself out if you havent developed these skills yet)
  • Cloud development and architecture experience, particularly in a financial context.
  • Familiarity with other data solutions, including Time Series.
  • Experience with additional programming languages such as Python.
  • Previous people management experience, leading and mentoring junior and mid-level developers.
  • Contributions to the company ecosystem, demonstrating a commitment to team success.
