Job Description

We are looking to bring in a Senior JAVA Architecture Lead in Markets Data, Risk and Controls Technology to drive Technical Architecture of surveillance applications in market regulation and transaction monitoring organization. We want someone to providearchitecture leadership, assurance and direction across the teams driving the architecture strategy across the Risk & Controls Technology Organization. This is a senior level role in the business and we require experience in applications development, experience of building architectural teams and working knowledge of industry best practices and standards. Responsibilities:

  • Working knowledge of programming languages such as Java or Python; frameworks such as Spring Boot; experience building on AWS Cloud native technologies; familiar with DevOps; agile development practices
    • Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
    • Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets.
    • Experience in applications development
    • Working knowledge of industry practices and standards
    • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Working knowledge of REST APIs, Open APIs design and implementation. Messaging protocols, RDBMS, NoSQL, Streaming technologies. Such as Kafka and Flink
  • Introduce and reinforce software architectural disciplines across development teams, including quality attribute concerns such a stability, resiliency, fault tolerance, scalability, and performance
  • Partner with developers to improve existing designs and deprecate non-essential software
  • Actively contribute to technical discussions, proactively identify challenges and risks, evangelize architectural best practices
  • Ability to work closely with Application teams, peer architects and other teams in the organization to drive solutions architecture design
  • Ensure essential procedures are followed and contribute to defining standards
  • Integrate in-depth knowledge of applications development with overall technology function to achieve established goals
  • Provide evaluative judgement based on analysis of facts in complicated, unique, and dynamic situations including drawing from internal and external sources
  • Influence and negotiate with senior leaders across functions, as well as communicate with external parties as necessary
