Job Description

Job Title: Senior IT Project EngineerLocation: Central London & WFHSalary: £70,000 + £4,000 TrainingWe are one of the UKs leading Managed IT Service Providers and were currently looking for a highly experienced IT Project Engineer to join our team.The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering a wide range of IT projects, from inception to completion, ensuring a successful implementation and client satisfaction.The primary responsibilities for this role will include:

  • Playing a key role in the entire project lifecycle, from initial scoping and design, through to delivery and final handover to the managed IT support team
  • Close collaboration with the technical director, project manager, presales team, account managers, and managed support team
  • Overseeing all aspects of the project, from planning and scheduling to budgeting and risk assessment.
  • Coordinating communications with clients, suppliers and third parties.
  • Managing relationships with stakeholders and ensuring timely delivery of projects.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Monitoring project performance, reporting on project progress and providing feedback to stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Proven experience delivering IT projects in an MSP environment.
  • A strong understanding of infrastructure, including servers, networks, cloud, virtualisation, applications, backups, and many more.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Excellent knowledge of documentation processes, with knowledge of ITIL framework being highly desirable
  • Strong technical experience with the following technologies: Microsoft Office 365 (including Exchange on-prem), Azure, SharePoint, Windows Server, network infrastructure (switches, routers, VPNs, firewalls), virtualisation, backups, and more
