Job Description

Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer - Wembley, North LondonThis is an excellent opportunity for a high calibre Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our fast growing, award winning software company. The Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer / IT Engineer will be responsible for:
  • Maintain, monitor and manage internal systems and hardware, company server hardware and storage solutions (physical and virtual servers), all firewalls, and company networking infrastructure including security and redundancy
  • Ensure continuation of core business systems including notification systems and support / routine maintenance out of core hours
  • Maintain, monitor and support email, messaging & phone system, including security, storage and archiving
  • Complete adequate backups of all critical systems and data and ensure recovery integrity
  • Update IT procedural documentation including system change log information
  • Design and implementation of new systems and technologies
  • Review contracts for existing products/services and negotiate contracts for new suppliers of services/equipment
  • Maintain best in class Cyber Security System (software & training)
  • Provide day to day IT support/training and technical assistance to staff on the full range of products/applications
  • Co-ordinate the build/repair and upgrade of internal systemsand conduct internal network maintenance including upgrade and installations
The ideal IT Infrastructure Engineer / Lead Infrastructure Engineer will have the following qualities:
  • At least 5 years experience in a similar Technical role
  • Degree level or other relevant educational qualification
  • Demonstrable experience of cloud-based solutions Azure, Data Centre, VPLS & SDWan
  • Ability to manage 3rd party suppliers
  • Virtualisation experience with VMware or other platforms
  • Experience working with Office365, exchange online, SQL and other Saas platforms.
  • Cyber Security, PCI-DSS, ISO27001 & Pen-testing experience
  • Experience installing and compiling software packages on multiple platforms.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP networks including routing, gateways, VLan and firewalls.
  • Good knowledge of O/S both server & client along with domain security concepts
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills
