Job Description

Are you someone who thrives on the thrill of manager research and possesses the drive to make a substantial impact Were on the lookout for a dynamic individual with experience in manager research or portfolio management to join the research team. Thisrole presents a unique opportunity for you to inject fresh investment ideas, influence fund selection decisions, and actively shape strategic and tactical asset allocation strategies within institutional investment portfolios.Role Requirements:

  • Be the driving force behind innovative investment ideas and craft compelling materials for client presentations that leave a lasting impression.
  • Engage in due diligence meetings with managers, taking charge of fund ratings and ongoing monitoring.
  • Dive into the heart of investment committee meetings, passionately participating in debates and ensuring timely updates on investment viewpoints.
  • Be the go-to research specialist in client meetings, bringing your insights and expertise to the forefront.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, nurturing their growth and ensuring successful delivery of research projects.
  • Share your knowledge by delivering engaging training sessions to colleagues on relevant topics.
  • Unlock the potential for this role to expand into a portfolio analyst position, encompassing the fascinating world of fund of fund products.
Experience and Competencies Required:
  • Progressing towards the CFA or equivalent qualifications, or already certified.
  • A seasoned professional in financial services, with 4-7 years of experience, including a solid background in manager research, and a profound grasp of the asset management industry and markets.
  • Ideally, have hands-on experience in one or more of the following asset classes: Equity (Long-only), Multi Asset, Hedge Funds/Global Macro, Alternative Risk Premia.
  • Demonstrate exceptional analytical prowess and masterful communication skills, including the art of captivating presentations.
  • Its a bonus if you have experience in the day-to-day management of portfolios, especially Fund of Funds portfolios, and have actively contributed to fund strategy decisions, including asset allocation, portfolio construction, and manager selection.
  • Experience in the daily management and implementation of portfolios, covering aspects like risk monitoring, exposure analysis, performance attribution, and reporting, is highly valued.
  • Proven ability to collaborate seamlessly with internal and external teams across diverse functions, including Risk Management, Legal, Compliance, Data providers, Distribution partners, Fund Managers, and Technology.
