This is a unique chance to join a team that celebrates curiosity, diversity and value creation.Role Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe role involves finding opportunities and delivering capabilities to enable Lloyds Banking Group to deliver its strategy.The team handles a dynamic portfolio of innovation opportunities providing an unusual level of exposure to a wide-range of projects in the course of a year.The Senior Innovation Manager works as part of a squad to:
  • Lead a key focus area or theme, such as society of the future, or personalisation, including steering multiple projects within that theme.
  • Inspire the team and collaborators to generate and implement breakthrough ideas. Lead our understanding of future financial needs through various forms of research.
  • Shape new business opportunities aligned with our strategy using our innovation methodology.
  • Use experimentation to test opportunities in an agile way.
  • Act as a point of contact for one of the business units, building relationships and representing the whole team with those collaborators.
  • In addition to leading a small team, youll be hands on on project work and be part of the Innovation leadership team.
Skills and experience Essential:Industry and Strategy Experience How do you use your knowledge of emerging trends relevant to financial services (customer, competitor, technology) to influence business plans and product development. Can you logically consider how these might impactthe industry and Lloyds, given our specific strategy and positioning.Early-stage Proposition Development You must have experience of leading teams to develop and test new business model ideas.Solving Complex Problems Have you a strong and well tested skills in analysing and holistically interpreting a range of information. Can you make sense of complex and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems; able to synthesiseand distil data to influence key decisions and partners. Can you analyse and benchmarks internal data and performance with industry standard methodology.Partner Management Wed like you to build strong partnerships between start-ups, Fintechs and large financial institutions including their onboarding and ongoing relationships.People Development Want to build a climate where people are motivated to do their best to help the organisation achieve its purpose and objectives Can you demonstrate that you have developed people to be able to meet their goals and the organisations.Manages Ambiguity- Are you able to encourage and lead a team in a VUCA (volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity) environment.
