Job Description

£55,000 - £60,000 | SE1, London | Senior Fundraising and Partnership Manager

  • The post is a fixed term contract for two years, renewable subject to funding.
  • 35 Hours a week
  • Are you looking to join a worldwide association that is passionate, dynamic and has a social purposeDo you have extensive fundraising experience, preferably within a large international organisationJOB SUMMARYIf you are a dynamic and experienced Fundraising manager to you are needed to help develop this organisations Major Donor fundraising and partnership strategy with particular concentration on supporting and capitalizing on the opportunity presented by its centenary in 2021.You will report to the Executive Team and will work with the senior management team to develop a fundraising and Partnership strategy which will build a portfolio of high-net-worth individuals, partners and major donor prospects. The organisation is keen to maximise income generation and you will work across the organisation to develop a road map for high quality donor engagement and for promoting relationship longevity. You will assist in the preparation of tailored communications materials including e-mails, letters, proposals and presentations, which can be used at special events with the aim of cultivating potential and existing major donors.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESThe role will require you to:
  • Develop and execute fundraising strategy to create reliable and diversified revenue streams from: Trusts and Foundations, Patrons and Individual Donors, Community Fund Sponsors and Corporate Funders to support the organisations vital mission and 4 years strategic plan
  • Lead on the identification of potential partner organisations to help the organisation achieve its mission
  • Set up and work towards achieving fundraising targets for our Centenary in 2021
  • Identifying the most promising channels for income generation
  • Lead on developing a pipeline/database on who has contributed, attended an event in the past, and a strategy to get them and develop relationships for the future
  • Lead on building, recruiting and maintaining relationships with influential writers
  • Cultivate effective internal and external relationships beneficial to fundraising, particularly with corporate, trusts, legacies, major gifts and international applications
  • Produce, develop and deepen existing donor relationships, ensuring that the organisation maintains effective communications and good relations with our donor partners, ensuring they are updated on our work and achievements up-to-date reports for staff and management
  • Working with the communications team to support the engagement strategy with writers and the media
  • Working with the SMT in relation to the fundraising, communications and partnership strategy, contributing to an effective organisational strategy
  • Working with staff to prepare funding opportunities, prepare presentations and representational materials
  • Spotting fundraising opportunities and raising awareness of the organisations work
  • Review the success and achievements against agreed targets, identifying strengths, weaknesses and areas for improvement
  • PERSON SPECIFICATIONEssential
  • At least at least five years experience in Major Donor fundraising at a senior level, with a proven track record in cultivating significant relationships and exceeding fundraising targets.
  • Experience of securing, at least, five-figure gifts from high net worth individuals.
  • Experience of designing and managing successful donor cultivation events that have generated new relationships.
  • Has a large relevant network and proficient in writing proposals and reports
  • Proven ability to develop and monitor the implementation of an ambitious fundraising strategy, budgets and operational plans.
  • Experienced fundraising professional with a proven track record of securing international funding (EU Grants etc.). Should have had an exposure to raising funds from other geographies (Internationally)
  • The Fundraising Consultant will be a strong conceptual and strategic thinker, and an excellent writer who will work closely with colleagues to develop accurate, compelling and persuasive funding applications and reports for all areas of our work
  • Proven ability to produce a range of communications written and verbal presentations that have resulted in engagement from high net worth individuals.
  • Strong networking skills with the ability to account manage high profile people, acting with a high level of professionalism and discretion at all time
