Job Description

THE SEARCH:Altus Partners has been engaged with a leading European Private Equity business in the search for a Senior Fund Accountant to support the Fund Reporting team in an all-encompassing role for one of the most established names in mid-market buyouts.As a Senior Fund Accountant, you will be working closely with key stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely reporting, investor/investment operations, and project-based scenarios. This role demands a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and theability to thrive in a fast-paced and challenging setting. By leveraging your private equity accounting expertise, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial landscape of the organization and contributing to its continued growth and success.THE ROLE:

  • Prepare and review reporting outputs during the year-end and quarterly reporting cycles
  • Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure timely completion of financial statements and tax returns
  • Draft various communications with investors including responses to ad hoc queries, reporting requests, drawdowns & distribution notices
  • Accounting and balance reconciliations for various fund entities
  • Participate in all aspects of fund inflows and outflows including cash movements, fee calculations, expense recharges, drawdowns and distributions
  • To understand and ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations, and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which involved
  • Assist in implementing financial procedures, controls and system improvements to enhance efficiencies
  • Various ad hoc projects to help the team achieve and maintain best practice procedures
THE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA or equivalent)
  • Technical knowledge of Private Equity Funds and/or Financial Services
  • 2 years + Post-Qualified experience
