• Develop the flagship "Trader Desktop" platform that delivers next-generation functionality to Citis traders.
• Utilize the latest Web and Java technologies.
• Develop efficient and robust solutions to challenging business problems.
• Work on a globally distributed team to deliver the next generation UI experience for traders at Citi.
• Gain knowledge and exposure to Front Office Trading Systems, Fixed Income, and Derivatives flows

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and enhance Angular and Java components in line with business-driven requirements
• Promote and follow engineering best practices
• Apply an engineering mind-set to development work: understand use-cases in detail, develop metrics to build good estimates of volume and compute velocity requirements
• Contribute actively to system design decisions
• Evaluate and build POCs for new strategic initiatives and work to convert to enterprise level solutions
• Provide post release assistance to business, development, and support groups
• Develop application as per best practice and remain compliant with prescribed best practices (TDD, maintain high unit test coverage, CI...)
• Serve as advisor or coach to new or lower-level analysts

Experience:For the right applicant this position can be a Full Stack, Frontend OR Backend role.Frontend: Angular, Typescript , JavaScript, RxJS Backend: Java, Spring Boot Nice to Have: NgRX + Electron + OpenFin Software engineering skills:

• Experience working on a Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery environment. Familiarity with TeamCity, Bitbucket, sonar etc.,
• Experience with the SDLC lifecycle and in working within an Agile environment
• Demonstrable understanding and experience of engineering best practices: design patterns, coding standard, code review, unit testing via Mockito and Junit
• Understanding of Agile software development methodology and strong experience with standard CI tools (Jenkins, TeamCity, Sonarqube, git).

• Strong communication skills, oral and written.
• Ability to apply sound technical skills and knowledge of the Fixed income business to develop creative solutions to meet client and business needs.

• Self-motivated and organized, with determination to achieve goals; ability to work autonomously when required.
• Ability to face off to all business users (traders, financial controllers, risk managers, etc.)

• Flexibility to work with a global team, across geographies and time zones

Initially, all roles will be remote only, but ultimately we envisage a city-centre hybrid working office for the majority.
