Job Description

***Senior Front End Developer - Contract - London - Financial Services***Senior Front End Developer6 Months Rolling ContractLondonFinancial ServicesUpTo £619pwd via Umbrella CompanyTech Stack: React.js, Redux, Typescript, Node.js and FX/Front Office experienceResponsibilities:

  • Solve unique and complex problems with impact to Capital Markets Value Stream of Commercial Banking
  • Work with product owners, UX and other business partners
  • Design, implement and test solutions through to production
  • Participate in planning sessions with product owners, business analysts and team members to understand business requirements and outline the proposed business solution
  • Participate in design reviews and provide input to the design recommendations
  • Provide input to information/data flow and understand and comply with architectural standards in all phases.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to pre-defined Definition of Done and design specification
  • Identify/troubleshoot application code-related issues
  • Ensure quality and completeness of the product through appropriate automated testing techniques
    • Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of ReactJS and Redux
  • Experience with other frameworks and UI technologies beneficial
  • Experience with Typescript essential
  • Must be familiar with both REST and websocket integration
  • Must be familiar with use of node.js and webpack
  • Experience of micro service applications, API gateways and Zuul/spring gateway
  • Understanding of redux-saga would be advantage
    • Desirable
  • Any backend experience : Java, Spring boot that makes the candidate not simply a front end developer would be highly beneficial as well
  • Experience with working Capital Markets Front Office technology is preferred, in particular with knowledge of the FX domain
