Do you have what it takes THE GIG Dr. Martens is looking for a talented and enthusiastic Senior Front-End Developer to help with their program of work in the digital space. Specifically, e-commerce projects and enhancements with a strong focus on customer. We are lookingfor a detail-oriented person with a passion for developing great front-end experiences, who will work within Agile product teams alongside Product Owners, Business Analysts, Project Managers, Testers and UX Designers, adopting the Scrum framework. As our SeniorFront End Developer you will be responsible for:

  • Mentoring and guiding a team of junior to senior developers working within an agile framework.
  • Ensuring team adherence to high-quality project standards
  • Keeping agile projects on time with additional senior-level support
  • Working within both Domain & product levels within an agile team
  • Handling multiple projects, transforming complex layout design files (Figma, Sketch, XD) into pixel-perfect web journeys.
  • Being able to translate UI/UX design wireframes to actual code, bridging the gap between graphical design and technical implementation.
  • Using your strong working knowledge of responsive mobile-first design techniques to align high-fidelity online experiences.
  • Integrating with other teams throughout the company to help the development of front-end solutions and applications.
  • AB testing setup
  • Code reviews and peer support.

  • JavaScript, HTML5 & CSS3- CSS pre-processors such as SASS and/or LESS
  • Version control systems such as GIT & Strong experience with JavaScript (Ideally Bootstrap or Foundation), HTML5, CSS3, UI, and UX.
  • Experience with site performance, Accessibility, SEO, scalability, reliability and usability
  • Strong Mobile first mindset
  • Browser APIs & Front End optimisation experience & Content-management systems (CMS) experience.
  • Experience with optimisation tools such as Optimise or Optimizely
  • Working experience with agile methodologies. And Exposure to automated testing, test-driven, behaviour-driven development
  • Familiarity with the Atlassian suite including Jira and Confluence
