Senior FP&A Manager - Insurance -- 12 month FTCCity of London locationWorld class organisation with leading players - great place to learnImpressive board level stakeholders from day 1 - profile to CEO level in-role Description Senior FP&A Manager - Insurance -- 12 month FTCFinancial Planning and Analysis are a trusted and well-connected team at the heart of the firm, who are responsible for planning and policies (including income, expenses and FTE). They work closely with the firms most senior leaders to provide strategic insight and analysis to challenge our teams and drive better decision making. The team are also responsible for analysing and reporting on performance of third/counter-parties. The Senior Financial, Planning and Analysis team are responsible for the financial planning, budgeting and forecasting process of c.£300m firm spend and c.1,000 headcount planning globally. They drive the planning cycle and guide the future direction for the firms strategic decisions Your technical, commercial and market knowledge combine to ensure all functions have access to an expert business partner who impacts both our internal and external customers Alongside the Senior Finance Business Partners you are responsible for setting finance policies to deliver pricing income, projects spend and BAU for the areas they support With your ExCo member you will set the KPIs and provide leadership to ensure achieve & meet these targets and report accurately. This includes pricing for external products, internal firm-wide strategic projects and careful management of cost base including people planning Every quarter your will lead a CEO performance review for the ExCo members you support A structured approach leads collaboration between business functions on commercial and financial decision making, focussing on improving income, cost reduction, revenue enhancement and efficiency opportunities Work in partnership with the ExCo project sponsors to effectively lead c£40m global project spend and be accountable for benefit tracking and delivery The FP&A model is owned by this team (using Anaplan software). This role must champion firm-wide use of Anaplan, ongoing development, data held in the system and relationship. This includes evaluating data, systems and processes to recommend appropriate changes to enhance planning information reliability, accuracy and insight for the firm Sponsor small change, big difference projects to continuously improve processes and activities that include: evaluation of systems and processes to enhance information reliability, accuracy, interrogation and insight for the firm Overall responsibility for developing team members to help them interpret the finance strategy into their objectives, supporting them through clear performance management, provide personal development opportunities and ensure appropriate training and development plans are in place Supporting the annual planning and quarterly forecasting process, including aggregating the financial plans/forecasts, review and assessment of reasons for deviations from initial plans, and analysis of performance trends Profile Excellent PowerPoint & Excel skills Accountancy: Reporting and Financial & Planning analysis Accounting principles Knowledge of relevant legal & regulatory requirements both UK and International Knowledge of accounting standards as applicable to financial services and ins organisations Qualified accountant with a progressive record of success, ideally including leadership of a finance team within a fast moving, forward thinking, and dynamic organisation Job Offer Base from £75,000 to £90,000 Exceptional company benefits package Competitive bonus scheme Exceptional learning curve and collegiate atmosphere
