As a Barclays Business Oversight Compliance Manager this is an exciting opportunity where you will provide advice to the business on new and existing products, propositions, or services to ensure a clear and effective framework is in place to mitigatethe potential for Financial Crime risk. You will provide insightful analysis and interpretation of risks to the First and Second Line based on a thorough technical understanding of the business and Conduct Risk Management Framework (CRMF). What will you be doing• Serving as a gateway to BUK for financial crime and liaising with senior stakeholders on a diverse range of issues regarding financial crime risk management oversight • Proactively contributing to all applicable Governance and Oversight Fora providing clear and insightful financial crime guidance, including escalating any risk and control weaknesses • Driving the provision of tailored financial crime advice within BUK and providing strategic steer to inform and challenge the business direction • Supporting BUK in managing their Financial Crime risks effectively through setting of clear standards of compliant business practice • Reviewing and challenging the businesses financial crime risk assessments across the control environment and risk profile • Being a leader within the BUK Business Oversight Compliance, creating an environment in which staff are empowered, supported, challenged and responsible • Contributing to and engaging with the wider Financial Crime function to achieve consistency and the sharing of knowledge. • Working very closely with other Compliance, Risk and Legal colleagues to deliver a co-ordinated approach What were looking for:• Financial crime prevention experience gained through first and/or second lines roles • Ability to demonstrate strong technical knowledge of UK financial crime laws and regulations • Good communication and strong influencing skills • Experience of assessing financial crime risk (covering AML, Sanctions, Anti-Bribery and Corruption and Tax Evasion) in a retail banking environment Skills that will help you in the role:• A financial crime qualification (e.g., International Compliance Association Financial) would be desirable • Professional qualifications relevant to financial crime and/or relevant legal qualifications are desirable • Knowledge in industry best practice in respect of financial crime risk tools and developments within the regulatory environment Where will you be workingIn the heart of Canary Wharf, our headquarters at Churchill Place boasts onsite amenities such as; a gym, staff restaurant and deli bar, and is easily accessible by tube and bus links.
