Job Description

Reporting into the Head of Programme Analysis, you will be responsible for providing critical financialsupport to various Business Units to ensure the successful delivery of the business strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting processes.The key duties of this Senior Financial Analyst are as follows:

  • Serve as key business partner to your business unit, helping to frame strategy and providing financial advice and support to enable decision making.
  • You will focus on analysis of the organisation financial performance, examination of profitability and reviews of business strategies
  • Producing budgets, forecasts and monthly management information ensuring highlighting issues and informing relevant stakeholder.
  • Highlighting risks & opportunities and identifying activity required to mitigate or maximise these.
In addition to working within a large, forward-thinking public sector organisation, This Senior Financial Analyst role offers hybrid working, a brilliant pension contribution and generous annual leave allowance.The successful candidate will have:
  • Ideally possess an accounting qualification or qualified by experience
  • Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, sumif formulas)
  • Experience of providing business finance support to Senior Management, with the ability to challenge and support stakeholders and drive improvements
