Job Description

Communicate is currently working with a listed Oil & Gas business based in West London in their search for a Senior Financial Accountant. This role will sit on an impressive finance team where you will be the go-to person between the junior finance team and the Financial Controller. The company operates worldwide with licenses across the globe, and is an industry leader in the exploration, discovery and distribution of natural resources.The successful candidate will be a fully qualified accountant with extensive experience in a similar role. Given the current circumstances, this role will primarily involve WFH for the foreseeable future.Responsibilities and Requirements:

  • Undertake and complete all aspects of the Financial Accounting processes and monthly and year-end financial reporting requirements
  • To lead the financial accounting team with regards to controls and maintaining an appropriate control environment
  • Excellent financial accountant with proven track record with strong technical accounting skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Extensive knowledge of IFRS
  • Experience in Oil & Gas industry or Big 4 desirable but not essential
  • Experience of SAP/ERP systems and Controller/consolidation system preferable
  • Strong MS Office skills
  • Fully qualified ACA Chartered Accountant, or able to demonstrate comparable skills/experience
  • Experience in the oil/gas sector is highly desirable
