Job Description

High Tech FSAmbitious growth/acquisition targets - fast pace Docklands Canary Wharf located (2 days in office -- others from home) Description Senior Finance Manager, Consolidation - High Tech FS Financial Services Manage and oversee the finance activitiesperformed by on shore financial accountants and the Centre of Excellence team in the monthly close process for Post Trade Division consolidation and its global subsidiary entities Responsible for the end to end finance processes for the Post Trade Divisionlegal entities for both the clearing and non-clearing businesses in the Division. This will involve partnering with global specialist teams, including Finance Operations, Payroll, Middle Office functions, Group Finance, Corporate Development & Strategy andIntercompany teams to execute financial close process Lead in the development of entity financial control environment, including review and recommendation of the global financial functions, critical analysis of key balance sheet accounts, cash flow forecasts,liquidity assessments and oversight of sub-ledger reconciliations Manage the preparation of the Post Trade Divisional team external reporting submissions for the quarterly, interim and year end preliminary results announcements under IFRS Responsible for theplanning the teams production the Post Trade statutory accounts and attending Board meeting to discuss the relevant finance topics. Main point of contact for the external auditors in the management the statutory account delivery timetable and audit deliverables,including preparing impairment reviews and going concern assessment Support the Divisions merger & acquisition strategy by advising on financial impacts of proposed transactions, writing papers and supporting any purchase accounting process Design & implementfinance processes to support any organic growth from new revenue streams in conjunction with the business heads & other specialist finance teams Prepare and review ad-hoc technical accounting papers, dividend proposals and briefing memos for distribution toBoards of Directors, Post Trade Executive Committee Members and the external auditors, as required Work closely with wider finance community and to share best practices and enhance reporting quality and efficiency Develop talent & mentor junior members ofthe team and support junior team members career development Assist in the annual Budget process including summarising financial performance of legal entities to Finance Business Partners and verify and review final Budget submissions Support ad hoc projects& key strategic developments for the finance team Profile Senior Finance Manager, Consolidation - High Tech FS Big4 qualified Chartered Accountant before moving in-house into High Tech FS / FinTech / Challenger or equivalent environment Passionate about drivingimprovement and new ways of working Highly personable, effective communicator that can both manage a team and collaborate across the wider finance community Strong financial accounting and control experience Experience working on large multi-currency & globalconsolidations and matrix finance structures Confident self-starter, comfortable working in a change environment, proactive in challenging status quo and driving efficiencies Ability to build strong working relationships with global colleagues, across multiplelayers of the organisation hierarchy across the both most junior & most senior levels Strong system skills essential with experience of Oracle suite of products preferred Experience of standardising and streamlining disparate activities into one standard processJob Offer Base £75,000 to £90,000 Exceptional benefits package Leading working culture (non political, very senior level collaboration and profile from day 1) Competitive bonus scheme
