Job Description

Duties and ResponsibilitiesFinancial statements: Produce the annual financial statements (IFRS and Luxembourg GAAP) of the four companies managed by our London office, along with delivering the year-end audit and act as the main point of contact for all queries, whilst being supportedby management. While you may not have experience in producing financial statements under Luxembourg GAAP this should be an exciting opportunity for knowledge gathering.Management accounts: Preparation of the management accounts including allocating costs of departments, preparing accruals and prepayments, producing/reviewing balance sheet reconciliations. As part of the month end close, an analytical review of the PELis required assessing the monthly expense again the prior month and to budge - checking for omission or error - and providing a written commentary for internal distribution.Working alongside the Finance team you will have the opportunity to become familiar with our business (revenue will be key) in preparation for the 31 March year end. We strive for process improvement and automation wherever possible, if you have exceptionalcoding skills (e.g. VBA, DAX, SQL) this will be very valuable.You will also support the team in fulfilling their day-to-day deliverables which could involve, but not be limited to, preparation of fees, intercompany reconciliations, accruals & prepayments etc. All practical exposure will aid you in managing the audit.Experience and qualifications:

  • Exceptional technical knowledge
  • Practical experience within the asset management industry, specifically how management/ performance fees are calculated
  • Experience in the preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements for an asset manager or hedge fund
  • Practical experience or solid understanding of a multi-currency environment
  • Communicating with internal and external stakeholders is key, so youll be able to build fruitful relationships quickly to gather information in order to respond to audit queries within 1 business day
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve errors and inconsistencies in financial data
  • A can do, self-motivated attitude will be essential. While it can be quicker to ask, taking the initiative is sometimes required in a busy team environment
  • Ability to work independently, priorities your workload to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Tax knowledge - Desirable
  • IFPR experience - Desirable
  • CSSF experience - Desirable
