A leading Private clinic based in Central London are looking to recruit a Senior Fertility Nurse.You MUST have previous experience working as a Fertility Nurse.The role is paying £45- 55K (Dependant on experience)Duties and Responsibilities* Fully understand the clinical protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs), patient information and consent forms.* Deal with telephone and e-mail enquiries in a professional manner and ensure that all information given is up to date and accurate.* Contemporaneously ensure all offered treatment, advice, treatment cycles and outcomes are recorded in line with current HFEA guidelines and requirements and SOPs.* Possess a working knowledge of his/her patients drug regimes and treatment plans.* Document all information relating to patients and treatment in patient notes in MedITEX.* Perform venepuncture, interpret, and give blood results when necessary and trained to do so.* Co-ordinate treatment cycle plans and teach patients to self-administer fertility drugs.* Obtain informed consent from patients within HFEA code of practice guidelines.* Inform patients about implications of treatment and provide information and support throughout treatment cycle.* Assist with ultrasound scanning (following adequate training).* Prepare theatre for egg retrieval, embryo transfer, insertion of IUCD, cervical dilatation, surgical sperm retrieval and gynaecological procedures.* Assist in theatre as necessary.* Recover patients following IV sedation.* Perform vaginal ultrasound scanning in line with national guidelines.* Perform and supervise intrauterine insemination procedures following adequate training.Managerial/Leadership* Serve as a First Aider.* Identify areas of development within the scope of professional practice and maintain up-to-date knowledge by reading relevant material and attending appropriately identified courses and conferences.* Computer literate and competent in using appointment and billing system, Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.* Participate in on call out of hours emergency service.* Help to monitor and maintain adequate stock levels within agreed budget.* Help to review and revise clinical documentation.* Work with Managing Director (Facilities Manager) to update and maintaining service records of all medical equipment in line with service maintenance contracts.Required experience and skills* Previous fertility experience.* Phlebotomy experience* Ability to cannulate* Experience in monitoring patients after sedation* Experience with scanning (not essential)Benefits Include - Company Events, Company Pension and many more!This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading clinic with excellent career prospects and generous staff benefits.PLEASE APPLY NOW!
