Job Description

Do you have the ability to supervise staff providing leadership and direction to all members of the teamPresenting clear, concise and effective reports both written and verballyIf this is you we have a client within the Public Sector based in East London is currently recruiting for a Senior Urban Engineer to join their Design & Engineering team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoingbasis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a street scene environment. The RoleKey purpose of the role is to assist in managing and progressing traffic management matters within an area based or function based time whilst achieving effective traffic engineering outcomes.Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Plan, manage and monitor projects and programme of works
  • Ensure statutory and legal obligations are delivered
  • Deputise for the Principal Engineer as required on a limited basis
The CandidateTo be considered for this role you will require a relevant professional qualification in transportation planning and membership of, or eligibility for members of, a relevant professional bodyThe below skills would be beneficial for the role:
  • Supervise staff and provider leadership direction to individuals
  • Able to prioritise and organise the workload of team members
  • Use new technology to assist in improving service delivery
The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £26 - £28 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35.
