Job Title: Senior Engineer - Nuclear Safety Regulation & Interface Location: Barrow-In-Furness (Hybrid) - We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role Salary: Competitive What you’ll be doing: • Providing support, independent advice, and guidance on the requirements of the Nuclear Site Licence, Authorisation and Environmental Permits to relevant business teams to ensure compliance with both statutory and contractual obligations • Influencing business management arrangements and ways of working • Interfacing with a broad and diverse range of internal and external stakeholders and authorities • Opportunities to get involved in other parts of the team Your skills and experiences: Essential: • Stakeholder management experience - working with various stakeholders incl. contractors, directors etc. • Experience of technical / report writing and persuasive written and persuasive written argument • Experience of providing technical advice • Ability to understand and interpret regulatory requirement Desirable: • Degree in a related discipline is preferred but not essential • Experience in a high hazard regulated industry Benefits: You’ll receive benefits including a competitive pension scheme, enhanced annual leave allowance and a Company contributed Share Incentive Plan. The Nuclear Safety Regulation and Interface Team: The Nuclear Safety and Regulation Department oversee the nuclear regulation for site. The team exists to provide specialist advice to the business with regards to nuclear safety and site licencing and is a key part of maintaining the licence to operate.
