Senior Director - Emerging Markets Chief Economist, S&P Global Ratings The Team: The emerging markets (EM) economics team provides key inputs into the ratings practices in the form of quarterly forecasts, scenarios, narratives, and general analysis. It focuses on about two dozen economies that are systemic or importantto our business (other EM and lower-income economies are forecast by our sovereign ratings team). The team interacts regularly with market participants: investors, issuers, regulators and central banks, media. The team thrives on developing accurate forecastsand prognoses, top-tier insights, clear and crisp communication, and complete independence of view while working closely with the EM credit research team. The Impact: The purpose of this position is to provide oversight, strategic direction, and market-leading research on EM economics. The chief economist will be responsible for conducting in-depth analysis on a small number of EM economies and overseeing/guidingthe macro work on other EM economies and influencing the work of our EM credit research team.
