This role is for a digital product manager to provide the customer experience layer for customersdelivering our vocational qualifications in the education sector worldwide. Aligning with our new CX vision and principles your product will improve retention rates, grow our business and reduce risk. You will work in a small, fast-moving, agile team creatingsimple and valuable customer experiences that deliver personal breakthroughs and have everyday impact.Responsibilities

  • Develop and champion a product vision, strategy and roadmap that delivers business objectives, balancing strategic and operational needs, value and ease of delivery
  • Define and deliver on a set of product OKRs
  • Manage and prioritise the rollout of features, understanding their impact on customers, their dependencies. Guide the product through the MVP stage and beyond
  • Build a deep understanding of our customers, their behaviour, needs and motivations. Be a strong advocate on their behalf
  • Conduct competitor and industry research
  • Work with development partners to evolve the product using tools and techniques such as A/B testing and analytics to understand customer behaviour and preferences. Develop metrics, insights and KPIs that inform the product roadmap
  • Relish the challenge of a project that balances speed-to-market, quality of UX, innovation, adaptability and agility. Motivate and inspire suppliers and peers to come together and deliver
  • Manage relationships with internal and external software development teams, designers and suppliers to create a cohesive, market-leading user experience (UX) that delivers real value for customers
  • Manage relationships with stakeholders in Product, Assessment, Sales, Customer Service, Technology and the Qualifications & Assessment Service
  • Offer innovation and thought leadership on how to achieve critical objectives and reduce or manage risk. Work with peers to drive forward our digital transformation
  • Ensure the smooth operational running of the product to provide reliable services
  • Ensure our customers and Pearsons data is always secure and our services comply with Pearsons policies and our obligations on data privacy and information security
  • Control costs, plan budgets and financial forecasting
Skills / Experience
  • An impressive track record of success in customer-facing digital product development
  • Deep familiarity with digital product technologies & techniques such as A/B testing, platform analytics, customer relationship management, identity management, product life-cycle management
  • Experience of negotiating with delivery partners and working with external teams to design and develop customer-facing software
  • A team player, who works easily alongside colleagues across many different disciplines, and is very comfortable collaborating in cross-functional agile teams and with stakeholders in senior management
