We set the education standards that nurses and midwives across the UK, and nursing associates in England, must achieve to practise. We register more than 710,000 practitioners, operate a revalidation process and, on the rare occasions when care goes wrong, step in to investigate and take action when needed.About the roleAre you a digital all-rounder Do you have a flair for connecting with audiences onlineWe’re looking for an experienced professional to help support the development and day-to-day running of our social media and email marketing channels. These channels are crucial to reaching hundreds of thousands of people at the click of a button.Its a genuinely exciting time to join the NMC as we embark on a five year journey to implement our new 2020-25 corporate strategy. Digital engagement has never been more important and you’ll be working in an organisation that recognises this. This is a challenging role that that takes on the complexities of a post Covid-19 world and will play a central part in delivering the organisation’s vision.About youReporting to the Digital Communications Manager, you’ll be someone with experience of using social media in a professional capacity. You’ll be a values-driven person who believes in the power of digital communications to make a positive difference to people. You’ll also have knowledge of using mass email marketing tools to drive engagement.Most importantly though, you’ll be a self-starter. Someone who has a passion for the work that they do. Someone who loves working autonomously to constantly improve systems and processes, solve problems and ask challenging questions.Does this sound like you If so, we’d love to hear more about you.Knowledge and skills Qualifications and experience

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant experience. (E)
  • A track record of developing and implementing digital strategies, creating content and managing communities, using analytics to drive decision making. (E)
  • Experience in segmenting key audience groups. (D)
  • Experience of delivering integrated digital projects alongside day to day digital channels management. (E)
  • Experience of working with new and emerging technologies and tools. (D)
  • Experience of using a mass email marketing systems such as Dotdigital or Mailchimp. (E)
  • Working knowledge of design software such as the Adobe Creative Suite or Canva. (D)
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities and pressures effectively. (E)
  • Experience of delivering integrated social media projects alongside day to day social media management. (E)
