Job Description

Castlefield Recruitment are currently recruiting a Senior Development Manager for a large housing association based in London. This is a permanent position, paying £61,872 - £83,709 per annum dependent on experience. The role offers agile working, with officepresence required 1-2 times per week subject to business needs.The role:

  • Manage complex contracted development projects, from agreed Project Team Working (PTW) stage to post completion
  • Deliver projects in line with strategic and financial aims
  • Lead on the delivery of allocated joint venture, new build and legacy residential projects
  • Undertake contract selection, constructor procurement and administer building contracts ensuring delivery of the requirements
  • Provide practical and technical reviews of development proposals, with particular consideration to the impacts on long term asset lifecycles, customer satisfaction, high quality products and financial viability
  • Monitor compliance with obligations defined under land, planning and funding agreements to check adherence by contractors/developers, in-house teams and consultants
  • Manage allocated budgets to ensure that all activities deliver best value
The person:
  • Experience of overseeing development schemes from inception to completion
  • Detailed knowledge of building practices, technical design, planning, development control, contract law, Homes England requirements, and methods of construction
  • Experience of writing documentation for competitive tender and compiling complex reports
  • Professional qualifications such as RICS, CIOB and MAPM - desirable
