What will you be doingYou will focus predominantly on the development and optimisation of Surveillance & Transaction Monitoring (TM) solutions for in-scope Barclays businesses, includingWorking with Global Surveillance colleagues to support thedevelopment, implementation and optimisation of automated Surveillance & TM automated solutions and capabilitiesSupporting the development of the Financial Crime Data Lake (FIDA) and the Group Data Architecture (Optimus) ensuring the requirements of theFinancial Crime teamCollaborating with Global Surveillance leads and other key Financial Crime stakeholders to understand critical priorities for the bank and identify enhancement opportunitiesLeading on innovation within in the field of Surveillance& TM data analytics What were looking for:Significant experience in utilising analytical/data science tools for data exploration, analysis and visualisation - ideally within Financial Services / Financial Crime or similarExperience in development ofdata visualisations/dashboards (such as Qlikview, Qliksense, PowerBI)Hands on experience of common Data Science tools, libraries and languages (SQL, Python, R, Scala, Spark) is preferredDegree in Computer Science, Data Science, Maths, Statistics, Physicsor similar is essential Skills that will help you in the role:In-depth understanding of Financial Institution data (e.g. Customer/Account, Transactional, Payment), systems and flowsExposure to common Transaction Monitoring systems (Actimize SAM, OracleMantas, Fortent etc.)Familiarity of Big Data/Data Lake technologies such as Apache Hadoop Spark, Hive, Impala etc.Knowledge of the UK and Global Financial Crime regulatory framework or the Market Surveillance, AML and transaction monitoring/detectionand the systems/processesWhere will you be working Well soon be opening our new state-of-the-art campus, right in the heart of Glasgow.
