Job Description

SENIOR DATA SCIENTISTLONDON (HYBRID)£60,000 - £70,000Our client in the finance/lending industry is seeking a skilled Senior Data Scientist to join their team. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in end-to-end data science, with the ability to create and deploy machine learning models, andexpertise in credit modeling.As a Senior Data Scientist, you will be responsible for guiding a team of data scientists and driving the development of cutting-edge solutions that add value to the business. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementingcredit models that support the organisations risk management strategies.RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide technical guidance to team members
  • Develop and implement data science strategies that generate business value
  • Design, develop, and implement credit models that support the organizations risk management strategies, including credit scoring models, loss forecasting models, and portfolio management models
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for using data to drive business value
  • Develop and deploy machine learning models that solve complex business problems
  • Ensure that all data science projects are delivered within budget, on time, and meet high-quality standards
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data science and credit modeling
REQUIREMENTS:
  • PhD or MSc in a STEM subject
  • Bonus if experienced in a relevant industry
  • Proven track record in credit modeling, including designing and developing credit scoring models, loss forecasting models, and portfolio management models
  • Excellent coding skills in Python and experience with related data science libraries such as TensorFlow, Keras, and PyTorch
  • Strong experience with SQL and databases
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex data science concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
