Job Description

**Senior Data Engineer - CRM Solutions** (Contract)Duration: 9 Months (Possibility for Extension)Location: London/HybridRate: A highly competitive Day rate is available for suitable candidatesRole Requirements:

  • Aggregating and manipulating SQL queries to create audiences and ingest new fields in our CRM platform
  • Striving to develop well tested, readable and performant code, capable of processing large volumes of data or serving many requests.
  • Contributing to architecture discussions with peers and stakeholders
  • Automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability.
  • Use DBT to for data manipulation and GitHub for configurations and schema definitions.
Skills & ExperienceEssential:
  • Ability to solutionise and advise on different approaches
  • Proficiency in SQL with proven experience in manipulating data for marketing purposes
  • Working knowledge of Python, including functional, procedural, and OO paradigms.
  • Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools (e.g. Airflow, DBT)
  • Experienced in using API to retrieve information
  • Experience configuring JSON, YAML files.
  • Experience with code versioning systems (e.g. git/GitHub)
  • Experience of working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, identifying and communicating solutions in a clear, actionable manner.
  • A self-starter with a problem-solving mentality and ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
  • An attitude to strive for future proof solutions
  • An interest in and ability to pick up new technologies quickly in collaboration with other members of the team.
  • Ability to QA your own work
  • Experience with CI/CD practices and tools (e.g. GitHub Actions)
Desirable:
  • Experience working in an agile development environment, using project tracking software (e.g. JIRA)
  • Awareness of GDPR and its possible implications for a data platform
