Job Description

Location: London (hybrid)Type: full time/permanentThe role:A Data FinTech client of mine are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to help with the build of the Analytics Infrastructure to allow them to fulfil their growth plans and enable analytics and a data-driven culture across the entire business.What you need for this role:

  • Experience with modern data warehouse, lake house or similar data management architecture
  • Experience with software engineering best practises applied to data, e.g., automation, testing, contract definition, clean code, CI/CD
  • Build data pipelines and manage separation of environments (Dev, Test, Prod)
  • Develop and deploy Infrastructure as Code (IaC) resources
  • Organise and automate data warehouse processes and structure to empower users with limited required support (e.g., data discovery, data provenance)
  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical colleagues to define ETLs that feed the data warehouse
  • Define fit-for-purpose data models and manage changes efficiently
  • Good grasp of modern data technology (distributed systems, data streaming, event-based architectures, batch processes) and how to apply them
  • Balance pragmatic approaches to move fast and enabling long-term scalability
  • Strong experience with Python
  • Good SQL experience

  • B2B SaaS companies
  • Docker & Kubernetes
  • IaC tooling
